A Chance to Sample Wines - And Support Scholarships

This Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., vintners from California and beyond will come to the Orton Center on the University of Redlands' campus. They will be participating in the 25th annual wine tasting extravaganza sponsored by the Rotary Club of Redlands. This event began 25 years ago to raise money for scholarships for local high school graduates. In the 25 years of its existence, the monies raised have also been used for grants to middle school students as well as high school students.
Along with the vintners will be a number of food tables, plus some beer sampling, water and coffee. There will also be a trio and a blues singer as part of the "Red, Wine and the Blues" theme, The Rotary Club has also put together about 40 silent auction baskets and about 8 live auction items.
The price of admission is $50 per person and tickets are available at the door.
