Not the howling and cold winds tell the East Valley that December has arrived. It is all the traditional holiday festivities that welcome the month of December. Parades, tree lighting ceremonies, downtown Riverside skating, millions of lights on the Mission Inn and the Holiday Home Tour in Redlands.
For, I believe thirty-nine years, the Holiday Home Tour in Redlands has welcomed hundreds and even thousands of visitors. Begun by the YWCA and now sponsored by the YMCA, this home tour features six of Redlands very special homes. Decorated by local florists and the homeowners, these homes will be open to the public from9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 4. Advance tickets are $25.00 and the day of the tour $30.00 They may be purchased at any of the homes. There is also a Patron Package for $65 that will give you priority for entrance.
On Saturday and Sunday, the YMCA will be holding a craft boutique and pantry at the Y facility on Citrus Avenue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
These events are fundraisers for the YMCA, but they are also great "fun" raisers for the community of Redlands.
