Listings, Pendings, Back-ups, February 1, 2013

March 4, 2013
Here we are in the third month of 2013. As is my custom, I am posting the numbers for the active listings, those reported as pending and those reported as back-ups. The back-ups are typically accepted offers that have a contingency that is significant to the eventual completion of the transaction. These numbers come from the data reported though the CRMLS on February 1, 2013.

San Bernardino.............List/280........Pend/347.......Back-up/131......Ratio/1.707......2012/5993
Yucaipa/Calimesa.........List/74..........Pend/129.......Back-up/44........Ratio/1.824......2012/202
I added the numbers for the active listings on February 1, 2012. It makes quite clear the challenge for current homebuyers. The lack of inventory is creating the upward push in home prices.
