Green Tips

November 24, 2010

As Realtors, we receive a weekly newsline from C.A.R. (California Association of Realtors). Each edition contains a "Green Tip of the Week". The November 18th edition contained a tip that I thought I would pass on to all you folks who might be fixing your Thanksgiving turkey in one of those giant turkey fryers. After the cooking is finished, what do you do with all that cooking grease? Recycling it is better than clogging sinks and sewers by pouring down the drain. According to C.A.R.'s green tip, one use for the goo is powering biodiesel vehicles. Type in http://www.earth911.com/ to find recycling centers.

If you are planning on replacing your TV or you computers, disposing of your old electronic equipment is sometimes a challenge. This Saturday, November 27, the Tri City Shopping Center in Redlands is having a "Snowtacular Event" You can bring the kids and play in the snow, pet the animals and ride on the ferris wheel when you bring your old Televisions, Computer monitors, LCDs, Laptops and Computers. What a great deal! Have some fun and dispose of your e-waste.
