New Museum in Apple Valley

Last weekend, San Bernardino County held the grand opening of the new Victor Valley museum. The Victor Valley Museum building was constructed in 1992 and operated as a not-for-profit entity sustained entirely by community volunteers. In 201o, the museum became a part of the San Bernardino County Museum system. The exhibits are organized around the theme: "Discover Your Own Backyard."

This Saturday, March 26, from 11 a.m. til 3 p.m. the museum will be hosting a Family Fun Day addressing the question "What does it take to survive in the Mohave Desert?"

The program is suitable for families with children ages 5 to 12.

Admission to the museum is $5 (adult), $4 (senior and military), $2.50 (student), under 5 and Museum Association members are free. The hours for the museum are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday though Sundays. Th Victor Valley Museum is located at 11873 Apple Valley Road, Apple Valley, CA 92308. For information call 760 -240-2111.
